Dear mariachi parents,
On behalf of the mariachi staff we would like to thank you beforehand for allowing us to work with your children. Supporting our children in learning an instrument is one of the best gifts that we can give them. As our children learn how to play an instrument they will also learn to build a strong character, sense of leadership and responsibility. Throughout the year students will encounter challenges and will learn to patiently work for the ultimate goal with the help of us, the directors, and you as a parent. You, as parents, play a very important role in your child’s musical growth. Encouraging and motivating your children to practice on a daily basis with a minimum of 30 minutes and helping them come prepared to class will help your child succeed. Every student in the beginner mariachi will be assigned an instrument which they will be using throughout the entire year, they are also encouraged to buy their own instruments. Students are expected to come to class prepared with the following materials: Violin Players Armonia Players Trumpet players -Violin and bow -Guitar and pick -Trumpet -rosin -Vihuela and uña -Valve Oil -Tuner -Guitarrón -1”Binder with -Cleaning Cloth -1” Binder with assigned assigned worksheets -1”Binder with assigned assigned worksheets Books and handouts -Clip on tuner -Metronome Thank you very much for your support. Estimados padres de mariachi,
De parte de los maestros del programa de Mariachi les queremos agradecer de antemano el dejarnos ser parte de la educación de sus hijos. El aprender a tocar un instrumento es uno de los mejores enriquecimientos que le podemos dejar a nuestros hijos. A medida que nuestros niños aprenden a tocar un instrumento, también aprenderán a fortalecer sus abilidades intelectuales, sentido de liderazgo y responsabilidad. A lo largo del año, los estudiantes se enfrentarán a desafíos y aprenderán a trabajar pacientemente para el objetivo final con la ayuda de nosotros, los directores, y ustedes como padres. Ustedes, como padres, desempeñan un papel muy importante en el crecimiento musical de su hijo. Alentar y motivar a sus hijos a practicar diariamente con un mínimo de 30 minutos y ayudarlos a venir preparados a clase ayudarán a su hijo a tener éxito. A cada estudiante en el mariachi principiante se le asignará un instrumento que usarán durante todo el año, también se les aconseja comprar sus propios instrumentos.
